Java Developer – Investment Banking – Net 370 CHF per day – 10 months – Immediate Start - Zurich

Cornucopia GmbH are working with a significant financial client in Zurich who has an immediate requirement for a top Java Developer with FX experience.  Your excellent Java programming, 1 ½ years minimum J2SE and 3 years plus experience with real time multi-threaded applications will be utilised with will be used within the FX Trading side of the business.   You will need to be able to demonstrate direct commercial experience working in the re-engineering and development of the technical framework underlying our clients FX Trading program.

To be considered it is essential to have experience in the following:

• Java
• J2SE (minimum 1 ½ years)
• Oracle / Hibernate

Your application will be most likely to succeed if can bring experience with any of the following to the client:

• Subversion
• Spring
• Unix
• Solaris
• ClearCase
• JProbe
• JProfiler

Senior Oracle Database Developer – Investment Banking – Net 440 CHF per day – 10 months – Immediate Start – Zurich

Cornucopia GmbH are working with a significant financial client in Zurich who has an immediate requirement for a Mid to Senior Oracle Database Developer for their Investment Banking Division.  You will be working on relational databases that support the FX financial applications.  To win this 10 month contract you will have an excellent understanding of database design and implementation using SQL DDL and DML.  You must also be up to speed with Oracle 10.  As well as this you need to be very proficient with UNIX and RDBMS administration skills.

To be considered you must have the following:

• A good BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
• Strong Financial Services experience with exemplary references
• Oracle experience in a UNIX environment
• SQL DDL
• DML
• Oracle System 10
• UNIX administration
• RDBMS administration
• Perl or Shell scripting experience

Senior Java Developer – Investment Banking – Net 440 CHF per day - 12 months – Immediate Start – Zurich

Cornucopia GmbH are working with a significant financial client in Zurich who has an immediate requirement for a Senior Java Developer for a 12 month contract. You will need excellent experience within the Financial Services at working from requirements specifications at implementing solutions for server-side applications.  You must be skilled at producing solutions that are functional, technical and of the highest quality.  To be considered your Financial experience will be within FX Derivatives trading desks.

You must have the following to be eligible:

• 4 years Java J2SE
• Solid OpenSource product experience
• UNIX skills including shell scripting
• Excellent object-orientated (OO) design skills
• You must be able to demonstrate Derivatives experience

If you can bring the following you will increase your chance of securing this role:

• C++
• Java web development (J2EE)
